Facebook is seeking an experienced Manager, Privacy and Policy, to monitor legislative and regulatory matters at EU and member state level, participate in policy discussions, and lead the companys interactions with the European Commission and governments in several EU countries. This position is full time and will be based in Paris, France.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic approach to achieve goals of company in public policy
Lead outreach to data protection authorities and other regulators
Monitor legislation and regulatory matters in states affecting Facebook and advise company with respect to policy challenges
Represent Facebook in meetings with EU and national governments and elected officials
Develop public policy positions with other team members at Facebook
Build coalitions with other organizations to advance policy goals of Facebook
Communicate Facebooks positions in public presentations and with media
Advise Facebook teams on public policy matters to guide development of products, services and policies
Requirements
At least five years experience working in politics, government, regulator or relevant non-governmental organization
Expertise in EU data protection law an advantage
Fluent English and French essential, other languages an advantage
Interest in emerging technologies and privacy policy
Superb written and oral communications skills
Ability to lead and manage teams
Degree or advanced degree level in related field
Excellent academic credentials preferred
